I like to experiment with wild food. Forest, meadow and even yard lawn are full of edible plants. Today I would like to persuade you to try the dandelion.
2 glasses of rapeseed oil
glass of beer
glass of flour
half a teaspoon of salt
teaspoon baking powder
1. Mix well flour, powder, salt and beer
2. In a saucepan boil the oil
3. Fry in deep fat for approx a minute
Bon Appetit 🙂
Do you like wild food?
We just tried dandelions this week!!! We often have the young greens in salad but we made fritters with the flowers this week and they were delicious!! The kids loved them! We don’t d a gluten free / dairy free version. Check it out on my instagram 🙂 http://www.instagram.com/makinghermama
I also sometimes add young green to the salads, but the flowers in the dough they taste much better 🙂
OMG! i’ve neve thought that dandelion flowers could be edible! I’m very curious of how they might taste! I want to try the recipe myself!
Keep up writing!
Just fry them in a regular pancake dough with a little baking powder. It’s simple and delicious 🙂
Hmmm….nice presentation…but you said nothingabout the taste….
They taste better than they look 🙂
Oh I have never tried wild food before. Now I have to 🙂
Great decision 🙂
Never thought of trying this and to be perfectly honest I’m still not convinced! Sorry!
It tastes surprisingly well and can be very interesting for your children.
Just fry them in a regular pancake dough with a little baking powder.
We don’t have dandelion in my part of the world, but you have made me curious about such an idea. Wild and Different 🙂
Maybe you are lucky one, dandelion is just a weed.
Not very welcome on the lawns 😉
